About the Role

Glomo builds fast, secure, borderless payment products. Its real-time cross-border network connects local payment rails across countries, and it is the first IFSCA-authorised Payment Service Provider of its kind in India.

As an Infrastructure Engineer you own the platform every payment runs on: GCP and Kubernetes, kept available, secure and compliant. A failed deploy or a slow database is a failed payment. You make sure the platform scales with volume, recovers fast from failure, and passes regulatory and PCI-DSS audits.

What You Will Do

  • Run the cloud platform - design, build and operate GCP environments (production and sandbox) as infrastructure as code
  • Own Kubernetes - GKE clusters, deploy pipelines, autoscaling and rollout strategy for the Rails monolith, Sidekiq workers and supporting services
  • Keep data safe and fast - PostgreSQL (AlloyDB) and Redis: replication, read replicas, backups, point-in-time recovery, upgrades, query and connection tuning
  • Make failure boring - build and test disaster recovery and failover; define SLOs, alerts and runbooks; lead incident response
  • Give engineers visibility - own metrics, logs and traces
  • Ship fast and safe - CI/CD for many deploys a day with zero downtime
  • Secure the platform - network design, IAM, secrets management, access control; PCI-DSS and regulator audits
  • Control cost - reduce cloud spend without losing reliability

What You Will Bring

  • 4-6 years operating production systems with real traffic, preferably in payments or fintech
  • Strong GCP (GKE, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, Load Balancing); deep AWS also counts
  • Kubernetes depth: Helm, autoscalers, resource limits, safe rollouts
  • PostgreSQL at scale: replication, failover, backups, vacuum, index and query tuning
  • Terraform or equivalent, reviewed like application code
  • Clean, tested scripts and tools in Bash, Python, Go or Ruby
  • CI/CD for trunk-based development
  • Security by default: least privilege, encryption, secrets management
  • Ownership from design to on-call; fixes root causes
  • Works closely with product engineers, security and compliance

Good to Have

  • PCI-DSS, SOC 2 or financial regulator audits
  • OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Redis, Teleport or other zero-trust access tools
  • Rails and Sidekiq in production
  • DR drills and chaos tests
